Which hunting rifle do you love to hate?

Some hate on the browning BLR. I own one in 22-250, one of the funnest guns to shoot that I have. Love it. Also a lot of a-bolt hate. I have owned two, sure their different but they also work and they also shoot very well from what I have found. People are scared of different, it is crazy. If it isn't in their gunsafe then it is garbage. Or if they had 1 rifle that didn't work well for them then it is also garbage. Crazy. I own 12 guns right now of a variety of makes and calibers. I wouldn't sell any of them because I like them all.

The BLR may perform flawlessly, but its just BUTT UGLY. It takes everything that is beautiful about lever guns and and destroys them.

And it somehow just seems wrong to say "lever gun" and ".22-250" in the same sentence. Its like bizzaro world.

This is just silly... i love all guns. But if i had to pick a least favorite it would have to be Tikka t3 lite, just because i really really HATE the term "lite". And im not uber keen on plastic rifles that cost more than nice wooden stocked ones.

22-250 as a "lever gun" is different, does not make it bad. It has been a great varmint gun for me. I have only had it for a year but I have taken lots of yotes with it. I think it is great. A guy I know got one from his dad when he was 11. I think it was 20 or 30 years ago. Still looks and works amazingly today. As for being and ugly gun, I disagree but to each their own.

I really want a rifle chambered in .270wby, But the Weatherby stocks just do absolutely nothing for me and the plastic Vanguard even less, but on the other hand I suppose if it was free. Now one I wouldn't take would be another 7600, God I hated that rifle. Why in hell you would make a box magazine fed rifle in pump action is beyond me.

Ruger mini 14
All browning leverguns

And the guy comparing the t3 to a blowup doll has to be the best response to this thread yet.

I don't like Enfields, give me a Mauser or Arisaka instead
I HATE:
-Anything made by Norinco, cheap junk
-Anything made by Remington that isn't a shotgun
-Mall Ninja built AR's

However. While not a hunting rifle, the Mossberg Chainsaw takes the cake. What the hell is a weed-eater handle doing on a shotgun? And does anyone here do recreational door breaching? That gun is the ###est thing I have seen since Twilight.

Haha what happened?

My 4x4 would fail to fire almost half the time with factory ammo, a few different brands. Went in for repairs three or four times(it's silly I cant exactly remember, but I think it was four) before I got my money back.

Bought a x-bolt hunter, which I'm sure some folks will rag on but I really like. Works and shoots great, but it better, for the money I paid.

Although I haven't actually fired one, and can't bring myself to even lay hands on one, the Mossberg Night Train is one horrendous looking peice of ####. It is a shame that they seem to have gone that route with alot of their product line.

Browning BLR's...especially scoped and even worse with see through mounts.

Centerfire Pump guns, no preference I hate them.

Of course this is all personal preference and my view on esthetics..I know they work.

I went through the first 8 pages of this topic, and I am stunned.

Does everybody like the M70? HOW?! I would rather fondle a POS Savage 111 tang safety than that stupid thing they build on the bolt. How can you even call a T3 over priced when you have an f'in m70 sitting in your safe?!

I could basically repeat that about Rugers also. I would BUY a Remington 700 that was made this morning, before I would accept a Ruger or Winchester as a gift.

I guess my tastes [and expereinces with rifles] differ from many here. I have a Tikka T3. But mine is the Hunter, so no platic stock. I have 4 rem 700's. I like those a lot as well. I have one Winchester M70. It's a push feed, and holy blazes is that thing accurate. It'll out shoot my T3 for sure.
I have a mauser built off a military action, but it looks nothing like a milsurp.
I also have a Midland in 30-06. It's a decent inexpensive gun, shoots better than most people can, and the only reason it's for sale is because I need some $.

I'll never own a mossberg rifle, or a rem 710/770
I really doubt I'll ever own another Ruger rifle.
Savage rifles don't really suit me. I have a 22LR in a savage, but it's not my favorite .22lr, although it's killed a couple thousand gophers.
And for my style of hunting I have no use for some old Winchester or Marlin lever. I'd like a good Marlin lever in 22lr, though. One from the 80's or 90's.

Savages just don't appeal to me, I don't know why, I don't hate them, but I just don't have any interest in them. Had a bunch of 99's, have arthritis in my hands and can not cycle the action easily on them. Have only one left in 300 kicking around and never use it! Never was a big fan of pump action rifles, either.
